Supporting the Military Family

Veterans Welfare Service

The Veterans Welfare Service (VWS) exists to enhance the quality of life for veterans and beneficiaries of SPVA  (Service Personnel  and Veterans Agency) pensions and compensation schemes.

The Veterans Welfare Service staff co-ordinate help and advice to veterans, their families and dependants. They have a caseworker approach, each client having a readily accessible, identified welfare team responsible for co-ordinating action on their behalf.  The  Welfare staff can help with completing forms, ensuring appropriate benefit entitlements are applied for and a multitude of services aimed at meeting welfare needs are accessed on your behalf.

Assistance can be given over the phone or through a one-to-one home visit.

Ring the Helpline and ask for a referral:  Veterans Helpline number is 0800 1692277 or click to visit the website.
