cruse bereavement care national conference

Cruse Bereavement Care National Conference 2007
at Leicester University, September 18-20 2008

"A very enjoyable three days"

Gardens at Leicester UniversityThis is the verdict of just one of the delegates who attended the Cruse Conference, "Working with Grief", set in the leafy grounds of Leicester University's residential campus.

Over 250 delegates attended, and there was an increase in the numbers of non-Cruse delegates too, including visitors from overseas. There were five key speakers and a wide variety of workshops to choose from, where delegates could participate in subjects as diverse as suicide and pregnancy loss to fund raising and yoga.

Delegates were able to experience the university's brand new, first class accommodation and enjoy professional catering with table service - all on an attractive campus with lovely grounds where nothing was more than a short stroll away.

Here is a snapshot of opinion, taken from some feedback forms:
"My first conference and it has far exceeded my expectations"
"Well organised, comfortable and good programme and networking."
"I was a first-timer and was suitable impressed!"
"I enjoyed meeting non-Cruse participants as well as old friends."
"Very well organised, excellent and varied speakers, extremely helpful workshops."
