DONATIONS AND FUNDRAISING
FUNDRAISING FOR CRUSE
Cruse provides support to thousands of bereaved people every year but relies upon public donations to stay operational.
TO DONATE
Donations to Cruse can be made online through JustGiving. Join our fundraising heroes by setting up a page.
To set up regular donations please contact us.
You can also send donations by cheque, made payable to Cruse Bereavement Care, to:
Cruse Bereavement Care

We rely on donations to fund our services - mainly provided by trained volunteers. There is considerable expense involved in providing training, supervision and management - of branches, of standards, of policy development - to ensure our services are fitting for our clients who call on them. Please click here for a really useful page of tips for our fundraisers.
Why not join the Cruse running team?
Why would you run for Cruse? Because you have the power to make a big difference to our charity and the lives of bereaved people. Cruse relies on the generous donations of individuals to continue with our important work of helping anyone bereaved through death. We help people of every age, who have been bereaved in any way, at any time, and our services are completely free of charge, regardless of age, sex, colour, religion or sexual orientation. We are a unique charity in that everyone will be affected by bereavement at some point in their lives.

RESTORING HOPE: supporting Cruse
Have you considered choosing Cruse for your Charity of the Year?
We are the number one UK charity supporting people who are coping with bereavement - an issue that affects everyone at some time in their lives. Our services cover England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we will help anyone who is bereaved, whoever they are, whenever or however their loved ones died. We are also the biggest providers of bereavement care to children and young people. Make us your number one by helping us to support those in urgent need of the benefits of Cruse’s 50 years of experience in bereavement care. By nominating Cruse to become Charity of the Year your company will benefit from a partnership that will:
- make your company stand out as an organisation with a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility
- encourage your staff to build on their teamwork skills by pulling together to support a worthy cause
- help a group of vulnerable people who will directly benefit from support.
LEAVING A LEGACY
Leaving a gift to Cruse in your Will has the power to help people come to terms with the loss of their loved ones. Gifts to Cruse will help us continue supporting bereaved people at a time when they are vulnerable. Please click here to email us at Cruse for information. |
Making a bequest to Cruse Bereavement Care
There are a number of ways in which you can distribute your estate in your Will. The three commonest forms of bequest, which meet most people's needs are:
Residuary
This simply means what is left over from your estate after all other bequests and debts have been paid. You can also share out the residue in percentages.
Pecuniary
Which means a specific sum of money or item.
Specific
This usually refers to a specific item, such as a work of art, ISA or life assurance policy or house.

A gift in Memory …..
A special way of remembering loved ones
Instead of showing showing your respect with flowers, why not show you care by making a donation to Cruse Bereavement Care? Cruse helps people struggling with the loss of a loved one through some of the darkest moments of grief and with vital practical problems too. Gifts to Cruse will show you care not only for the departed, but those they have left behind. They help fund the national helpline, bereavement support volunteers and services for children, and make a lasting tribute by helping people come to terms with bereavement both now and in the future.
All donations are acknowledged.
