Bereavement and the Family
The Dynamics of Bereavement within Family Settings

The profound and lasting impact of bereavement within families and between generations is only gradually being realised. Two experienced practitioners will discuss that impact.

Date: Saturday, 7 th June 2008
Venue: University of Wales Conference Centre, Gregynog, Newtown
Time: 10.45 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. (Registration from 10.00 a.m.)

A Morning and an Afternoon plenary session, with

Jon Mills
Social Work Team Manager at Hope House Children’s Hospice at Oswestry. He will focus on the perspectives of children, parents and families worked with and supported at Hope House.

David Trickey
Lead Consultant Paediatric Psychologist at Leicester Royal Infirmary. He has extensive clinical experience working with children and families and has successfully managed a child psychology service.

There will also be a short presentation at 10.45 a.m.
on the scale of bereavement in Wales and the work of Cruse
