In December 2018, Cruse Bereavement Care was one of three charities chosen to take part in ITV’s Good Morning Britain’s ‘1 Million Minutes’ Christmas campaign. The campaign asks people to pledge their time to help someone who is lonely following a bereavement.
We are thrilled to announce that around 64 million minutes were pledged and we have had lots of requests from people who would like to volunteer for Cruse. This includes volunteering on our National Helpline and on our More Than Words project.
As part of the campaign, Good Morning Britain made a video of one of our supporters, Gemma who received support from Cruse Bereavement Care after her mum died in September 2017. She was supported by our service in Bognor Regis and one of our bereavement supporters, Joanna is also featured in the video.
