What can I do for Cruse?
There are many ways to get involved. You can help run a local service involving fundraising activities, organising publicity, or being part of a management committee. Bag packing at your local shopping centre, coffee mornings, sponsored walks are all great and fun ways of fundraising. You can also directly support bereaved people-as individuals, or in groups and or provide volunteer supervision and training.
Anyone can apply to be a volunteer for Cruse. You do not need any qualifications or previous experience for all of the opportunities, but you do need to care about bereaved people and have time to offer. You will be given all the preparation, training and support you need. We welcome men and women of all ages, races, cultures and backgrounds.
Your expenses will be paid and you are likely to find there is enormous satisfaction from knowing you have made a positive difference to someone's life. You can also benefit from the opportunity to complete a nationally accredited course and ongoing personal development. Every hour of time given by a volunteer helps a child or adult face the future knowing that they are not alone.
