Usual services

Our Bereavement Volunteers offer bereaved people emotional and psychological support and help them understand what is happening to them.

Support is provided for as long as it is appropriate, whether for one session or more and is tailored to meet the individual needs of each client.

We arrange appointments at our offices in Maidstone or Medway or can visit clients in their own homes for those unable to travel.

For information and referrals please call: 01622 671011 or email maidstone@cruse.org.uk and one of our volunteers will assist you.

Our office is open Mon-Fri from 10am to 12.30 pm. It is not always possible for our volunteers to answer the phones, but please leave a message and someone will call you back.

Drop-In sessions

Our team of local bereavement volunteers offers a regular monthly Drop-In for anyone who has been bereaved to meet and talk together.  It takes place on the second Monday of every month, from 10:30 a.m. to mid-day, at The Maidstone Community Support Centre, 39-48 Marsham Street, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1HH where drinks and refreshments may be purchased at reasonable cost.  Although volunteers are on hand, clients really appreciate the opportunity to share their experiences with each other in an informal social atmosphere.
