How we can help you?
Cruse is a charity which offers:
- Offers free information and advice to anyone who has been affected by a death.
- Provides support and counseling in groups and one to one.
- Offers education, support, information and publications to anyone supporting bereaved people.
- Increases public awareness of the needs of bereaved people through campaigning and information services.
In South West Surrey we hold a Welcome Meeting once a month for all new clients to receive information on the effects of bereavement and the services we offer. We run regular Bereavement Support Groups to provide a forum for discussion and sharing about the challenges of bereavement. If a group is not suitable for your circumstances we may be able to offer one to one support in your own home, at a time to suit you. More information about these options will be given to you at our welcome meeting, or by our helpline staff.
We have a Cruse Friendship Group that meets on a regular basis in Camberley. The group is for those who have been bereaved and no longer need formal Cruse support but wish to meet on a casual basis with others in a similar situation for support and friendship.
We can provide trained volunteers to visit your organisation or group to offer support and training on bereavement issues.
Our helpline is able to offer help and advice on all aspects of bereavement and has a selection of publications that may be of help to you.
Whatever your situation, please contact us if you would like to know more by calling our helpline 01483 565660 (between 9.30am and 12.30pm on Monday and between 12.30pm and 3.30pm on Wednesdays, excluding bank holidays).
