For most of us, bereavement will be the most distressing experience we will ever face, particularly when losing someone very close. Grief is a natural process, and most people will cope with help from family and friends. Some people however need additional specialist support and Cruse is there for them; helping them cope with their loss; helping them build resilience; encouraging them to adjust to change and helping them get their lives back on track.
Cruse support services are offered free of charge, ensuring they are accessible to everybody. As an area, we are 100% self-funded and reliant on donations and grant funding. Without the generosity of our clients, sponsors and fundraisers, we would not be able to support those affected by bereavement.
Although our volunteers provide their time and energy freely, we do still have to meet annual running costs, which are estimated to be around £70k this year; your support would therefore be very much appreciated and gratefully received.
