COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

During this difficult time we remain committed to providing bereavement support to all who need it. However the welfare of our clients and volunteers has to be our top priority, and so we have made some changes to how we provide that support:

  • our helpline continues to operate as normal. Please call us at any time on 01543 433479 and leave a message. One of our volunteers will return your call.
  • one to one support will be provided by telephone, not face to face. If you are already receiving one to one support, we will contact you to let you know how we can continue to support you.
  • our Bereavement Help Point meetings (in Burntwood, Lichfield and Pye Green) have been cancelled until further notice.

We will continue to review the situation in line with government advice.

Coronavirus update - Bereavement Help Points suspended.

In response to the Coronavirus situation, we have regretfully decided to suspend our three regular Bereavement Help Points (at Burntwood, Lichfield, and Pye Green) until further notice. This change is intended to protect both our clients and our volunteers, and we hope our clients will understand the need for this. Anyone needing bereavement support should call 01543 433479 and leave a recorded message.

New Volunteers 2019

Congratulations and welcome to our new cohort of Bereavement Volunteers who have successfully completed their training and induction. We very much welcome the valuable contribution they will make to supporting the bereaved across the Cannock, Lichfield and Tamworth areas.

Training Feedback

We are committed to providing relevant, high quality training for our volunteers. Going the Extra 10k!

Congratulations to Wendy Sherratt and her daughter who completed the British Virgin Sport 10k in London in Sunday 15th July (a very hot day!) They were part of the 40-strong Cruse contingent running across central London, and have raised nearly £400 for South Staffordshire Cruse.
