South Staffordshire Cruse Bereavement Care has a vacancy for a Fundraiser. The role involves:
Identifying sources of funding, both locally and nationally
Preparing competitive bids for grants and contracts
Seeking funding from local organisations and individuals.
Maintaining good relations with funders
Providing regular reports to major funders
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience of writing or appraising funding bids
- Good IT skills in MS Office
- Capacity to master detail
- Empathy with the aims of Cruse
This is a great opportunity to work in a successful 100% volunteer organisation which supports around 500 bereaved people each year across the Cannock Chase, Lichfield and Tamworth areas. Following induction, you will take over a successful funding regime as a member of the local management team.

South Staffordshire Cruse is completely reliant on the support of our volunteers – without their generosity of spirit, time and funds, we could not continue.
Our Bereavement Support volunteers receive comprehensive level 2 training, which is nationally accredited. In addition our Bereavement Volunteers are supported through regular meetings with highly experienced supervisors. Other roles: volunteers provide support through a range of roles including administration, finance, fundraising, and publicity.
