As part of national volunteer’s week Cruse Bereavement Care would like to thank all our 6000 volunteers for their time, dedication and support.
Without our volunteers, Cruse would not be the thriving charity it is today. All the work our volunteers do is vital, whether they are working directly with bereaved people, or as managers, administrators or fundraisers.
Our volunteers were honoured last week with invitations to a Buckingham Palace Garden party, attended by our Royal Patron Her Majesty the Queen. Cruse was represented by Gail Livingstone, Cruse’s longest serving eligible member of staff, together with Chair of West Midlands Cruse Mary Padley, Richard Williams (recently stepped down after many years as Chair of Wirral Cruse), and Fiona Edwards, Chair of Cruse.
Cruse Chief Executive Debbie Kerslake said: “Volunteers are the core of our organisation. We couldn’t exist without them. They are brilliant at what they do, and I am constantly amazed and humbled by their dedication.”
