Children and Young People Four Day Course
Would you like to broaden your experience with Cruse?
If so, how about considering attending a Children and Young People Four Day Elective
which is being run in the Autumn by New Forest Area Cruse
For those applicants living outside the New Forest Area, the cost will be £200 per person. You must send written confirmation that (i) you have fulfilled the Cruse criteria for training in CYP from your own Area and (ii) they support the course. We will require the name and contact details of the person(s) supporting your application.
Payment can be made by cheque to the address at the top of the page (payable to Cruse New Forest) or via BACS (to Barclays Sort Code: 20-06-13 Account: 60427551 Ref: Cruse New Forest) at the latest two weeks before the course starts.

- A course at March Community Centre starting in September 2018 (only open to those who live or work in the Fenland and can volunteer in this area).

Bereavement Support training
From May 1st 2018. This course, which is needed to become a volunteer, is for people with an interest in supporting and caring for bereaved people; it is primarily intended for potential Cruse volunteers although other applicants will be considered if there is space.
The course will be held in Ipswich consists of 3 initial sessions on Tuesdays from 9.30 am – 4 pm from 1st May 2018.This will be followed by two further sessions of your choice Face to Face Support and Telephone Support to be held between June and July 2018, both are two additional full days training. The training for supporting children will continue in September over an extra 4 days.

This is to train people to become Cruse bereavement support volunteers.
No previous experience in using counselling skills is required as the course includes this.

Bereavement Support Foundation Course 2018
This training course has been developed to support the Cruse Service Model and Bereavement Care in Practice. It is a Foundation Course, for all volunteers and staff that have client contact, designed to provide the skills, awareness and knowledge around bereavement. The first three days cover the foundation training and the remaining two days cover face to face work with adults.
