As often there is a number of people in same situation which means an additional course can be added to accommodate this or alternatively local Areas will have knowledge of neighbouring Areas running courses that may suit. Bereavement Support training
From May 1st 2018. This course, which is needed to become a volunteer, is for people with an interest in supporting and caring for bereaved people; it is primarily intended for potential Cruse volunteers although other applicants will be considered if there is space.
The course will be held in Ipswich consists of 3 initial sessions on Tuesdays from 9.30 am – 4 pm from 1st May 2018.This will be followed by two further sessions of your choice Face to Face Support and Telephone Support to be held between June and July 2018, both are two additional full days training. The training for supporting children will continue in September over an extra 4 days.

Northamptonshire Cruse will be running an ABC course for new volunteers in Northampton in 2017. It will run on the 7th October, 21st October, 4th November, 25th November and 9th. The Bereavement Support Foundation and Face to Face Module 5 day training course is run mainly on Saturdays at our branch in Birmingham city centre. Training times are 0930hrs - 1630hrs and held normally 2-3 times a year.

Bereavement Support Foundation Course 2018
This training course has been developed to support the Cruse Service Model and Bereavement Care in Practice. It is a Foundation Course, for all volunteers and staff that have client contact, designed to provide the skills, awareness and knowledge around bereavement. The first three days cover the foundation training and the remaining two days cover face to face work with adults.
