Greenwich Branch Chair Tina Challacombe recently had the honour of meeting HRH The Duke of Edinburgh at The Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The event on 28 May was to mark the 60th anniversary of the Duke becoming a Patron of the Cutty Sark.
Greenwich Volunteers Centre invited Greenwich Cruse to send a representative to the event, as a part of a cohort of local volunteer groups in the run-up to Volunteers Week. At the event, His Royal Highness was interested to hear about Cruse's work in the Borough of Greenwich. HM The Queen is the Royal Patron of Cruse Bereavement Care.
