Research

Collaborate on research or publish your findings in our international journal Bereavement.

Research

We have been experts in bereavement for over 60 years and are always keen to learn more. We will consider research applications from those who would like to investigate aspects of grief and how to help those who are bereaved. We do not fund research but at times we collaborate with researchers or can help with finding participants for research.

Research proposals are carefully considered in accordance with Cruse strategic aims, research priorities and ethical guidelines. If you have a proposal please get in touch. Email: research@cruse.org.uk.

Bereavement

Journal of grief and responses to death

Bereavement is our international journal for all those with an interest in supporting bereaved people.

Bereavement is essential reading for frontline bereavement support volunteers and professionals. It aims to be accessible whilst setting a high academic and scientific standard for research and debate. It covers:

  • evidence-based peer-reviewed research
  • reports on best practice
  • reviews and commentary on all aspects of bereavement care.

Bereavement will be relaunched as a free-access online journal in autumn 2021. More details to follow.
