Welcome to Cruse Bereavement Care in the Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Louth and Scunthorpe Area
We offer support, advice and information to children, young people and adults. Our services are free of charge and support anyone who has been bereaved wherever or however the death has occurred. We offer one-to-one support in your home or if you prefer, at an outside venue. Group support is also available.
All it takes is a simple phone call to our 24hr Helpline. Please leave a message and we will get back to you, usually within 24 hours.
Grimsby, Cleethorpes & Louth Helpline: 07867 312658
Scunthorpe Helpline: 07488 253640
The National Freephone Helpline is also available on 0808 808 1677
The national helpline is open Monday-Friday 9.30-5pm (excluding bank holidays), with extended hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, when we’re open until 8pm.
If you work for a support agency or similar and are requesting support for one of your clients please ask them to contact the Helpline personally as we do ask that clients self-refer.
From time to time we run facilitated support groups as well as one to one support, new clients will be informed if a new group is planned.
We occasionaly also have 'Tea and Talk' meetings; informal, one-off gatherings where clients on the waiting list can meet others in simliar circumstances, meet volunteers and hear a little bit about Cruse and it's way of working.
Training as a volunteer
News of upcoming training courses will be posted here. We usually run new courses in the Spring, please get in touch if you would like to be considered for a place on the course.
