12th International Conference on Grief & Bereavement in Contemporary Society
Every three years, the global leaders in death, dying and bereavement and experts in various death-related disciplines meet at the International Conference on Grief and Bereavement in Contemporary Society (ICGBCS).
The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement had planned to host the 12th meeting of the ICGBCS in Melbourne in July 2020. You will now undoubtedly be aware that as a result of COVID-19 we made the difficult decision to cancel this international conference. We received keen interest from Australian and international delegates and, following the submission of hundreds of abstract proposals, we had an exciting scientific and social program in place.
The conference is delighted to announce that each of our keynote speakers have agreed to present a webinar during the week of July 13th to 17th. This will be a 70-minute presentation with a 20-minute opportunity for Q&A. Although not a replacement for our conference program, we are delighted that people will still have the chance to hear from these leading international speakers. This webinar series will provide participants throughout the world with an opportunity for knowledge exchange and skill sharing, despite the difficulties that COVID-19 presents.
All five Webinars are recorded, and recordings and slides will be made available for registered participants.
