We are Looking for New Volunteers!
We always need more volunteers to meet the constant demand for our services. None of what Cruse achieves would be possible without the passion, dedication and skills of our volunteers. We are currently recruiting for new volunteers for our annual intake which will next take place in January 2019. If you think you have the skills and empathy to work with those who are bereaved and are interested in joining our team of committed and enthusiastic colunteers, we'd love to hear from you! Please visit our volunteering page where you can download our information leaflet and application form.
You can read stories about our volunteers and some of the people they have helped here.
About Cruse Bereavement Care
Cruse Bereavement Care was founded in 1959 and is a national charity providing free advice, information and support to adults, young people and children who are struggling to cope with grief arising from bereavement, when or however the death occurred.
This is a short video explaining our work:
We have been operating in the area for over 35 years and we cover the boroughs of Elmbridge, Runnymede, Spelthorne and Woking.
Surrey North Area Cruse services include:
Face-to-face support sessions, either in your own home or at our meeting room in Chertsey.
Group sessions. Many bereaved people derive great comfort from meeting others in similar situations to themselves.
Telephone support and advice.
Information about the many aspects of bereavement as well as practical help and advice and signposting to a wide range of other support options.
Special support for children and young people, either at home or at school.
Surrey North Area Cruse is supported by over 80 trained volunteers each giving their time to support people bereaved by death.
Our goal is to provide somewhere to turn when somebody dies. Please contact us if we can help in any way.
Please consider supporting our work with a donation. Any amount, small or large, is greatly appreciated and you can donate quickly and easily online by visiting our MyDonate page.
