From the 8 – 14 June, we’re asking you to press pause on your usual routine and support Cruse.

On average, people spend around 4 hours a day scrolling on social media or watching TV. That’s 28 hours a week!

Imagine how much we could raise with just some of that time spent fundraising for Cruse.

What is Pause4Cruse?

Pause4Cruse is a simple idea:
Take a break from something you’d usually do, and use that time to give back.

Whether it’s swapping screen time for fundraising, or turning your usual downtime into something positive like organising a pub quiz, every small action can make a big difference.

How you can get involved

There’s no one way to take part, choose something that works for you:

  • Take on a personal challenge (walk, run, cycle, or go screen-free)
  • Host a bake sale with friends, family, or colleagues
  • Organise a pub quiz or social event
  • Give up something for the week and get sponsored
  • Use your time or skills to raise awareness and funds

However you choose to pause, you’ll be helping Cruse continue its vital work supporting people through grief.

We’ll support you every step of the way

When you sign up, we’ll give you everything you need to get started, including:

  • A screen-free pack to help you switch off and stay motivated
  • Fundraising materials and resources to make your activity a success
  • Ideas, tips and guidance to help you reach your goal
