Light up the Night: An Occasion to Remember

Join us on Sunday 21 December for a special candlelit event in the stunning Great Room at Belfast City Hall.

You are warmly invited to Light Up the Night, a Christmas remembrance event taking place in The Great Hall in Belfast City Hall on Sunday 21st December 2025, from 3.30pm – 5.00pm.

This special afternoon offers a chance to pause and reflect, and to remember loved ones this Christmas. Hosted by Cate Conway, the programme will include readings and beautiful music, including carols and hymns performed by choirs, soloists, and instrumentalists, all by candlelight. There will also be a quiet moment of reflection, offering space for remembrance and to find comfort this festive season.

Before the programme begins, you will be offered the opportunity to write a message and place a token on one of our remembrance trees in memory of your loved one (tokens will be provided).
