What is One-to-one bereavement support?
A confidential space to talk about your grief with a trained military bereavement volunteer. Sessions usually take place online or over the phone for up to 6 weeks.
What can I talk about?
You can talk about the person who died, how their death is affecting you, and anything you are finding difficult. Your military bereavement volunteer will listen without judgement and support you at your own pace.
What is Understanding Your Bereavement (Military)?
UYBOM sessions are one-off group sessions just for adults affected by military bereavement. They are facilitated by trained military bereavement volunteers and take place online.
A safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where you can talk about your loss and its impact, should you wish to. We will support you to gain some understanding about your feelings, and what may help when navigating difficult days.
How does it work?
The session starts with a presentation and then moves into smaller group discussions with a trained military bereavement volunteer.
We know that group discussions can seem daunting, please be reassured that this is a safe and confidential space with other people who have experienced military related loss, many clients tell us how positive and comforting the group discussions have been.
We know that it takes courage to ask for help and our dedicated Military Bereavement service is here to listen.
Online National service available across England & Wales.
