‘There You’ll Be’- The Collaboration Choir fundraise for Cruse
For the Collaboration Choir's newest project, they are supporting Cruse Bereavement Support and the work we do.
The Collaboration Choir are a collective of adult Pop choirs across the UK with a mission. They aim to do good through music, raising awareness of amazing causes and support initiatives they feel need a platform. For their newest project, they are supporting Cruse Bereavement Support and the work we do.
All eight Collaboration Choirs from across the UK came together to record a version of ‘There You’ll Be’, originally sung by Faith Hill. For the music video, the choir collaborated with storyboard artist Seb Antoniou and Pixelbox Films. Seb digitally drew eight of the singers’ loved ones from cherished photographs as well as capturing the choir performing in the moment to feature in the video. This is a tribute to those they’ve loved and lost all in aid of Cruse Bereavement Support.
Attending a choir can be a safe haven for those who’ve experienced loss and are grieving. We wanted to tackle being more open when dealing with the feelings that accompany bereavement. As a community. As a society. Through this charity campaign, and alongside Cruse Bereavement Support, we want to arm people with the tools to grieve openly and better support people who are feeling the weight of loss. We hope that we can become better equipped to cope with the loss of a loved one and support those who are suffering.
Cruse were introduced to the Collaboration Choir by our Chair of Trustees, Neil Churchill. After making contact with them, Carrie Rawlings, the creator of the Collaboration Choir, shared their ambitions to fundraise for Cruse Bereavement Support. This is the third fundraising campaign the choir have undertaken, having supported Macmillan and Dementia UK in previous years.
Alongside the song, fundraising activities are taking place in each of the choir locations including a Spring Concert in Milton Keynes. Tickets for the concert, in aid of Cruse, can be booked here
Cruse Bereavement Support are so grateful to the Collaboration Choir for choosing to support our charity through this beautiful song. I had the opportunity to attend the filming sessions for the music video, and the power of voices in the room was beautiful. The most amazing memory I came away with was watching a room of people holding photos of their loved ones realising that they were not alone in their grieving. Everyone has a person. It was clear how connected the choir were with the charity they're supporting. Thank you to everyone at Collaboration Choir. What an inspirational way to support Cruse, and each other!
