Cruse is the UK’s largest bereavement charity. In 2017-18 we helped over half a million people but we can only do this with the help of just under 5,000 volunteers covering England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We always need more volunteers to meet the constant demand for our services. None of what Cruse achieves would be possible without the passion, dedication and skills of our volunteers.

There are a number of ways you can find out more about volunteering in your area or nationally.

Our bereavement support volunteers are all trained in our Bereavement Support Foundation course. Find out when courses are running around the country.

The National Helpline is often the first point of contact for people making that brave initial step to get support. Could you help these people by taking shifts on our helpline, either from home or from our offices in Richmond?

We have nearly 5000 volunteers who support bereaved people and take on a number of other roles to help Cruse. You can read some of their stories here.
